This collage piece is created using various wood and wood board over painted with trexture medium and various paints - It is set in a renovated real wood boxed frame behind glass - the frame has been over painted with chalky paint with detail sanded back to a distressed look.

Sandbanks Sails

This piece is made from marine plywood salvaged from Sandbanks beach which has been painted/sanded to a distressed look.

The piece is set in a renovated real pine box frame painted with off white chalky paint which has been sanded back along the edges to add to the 'coastal' feel.

Overall measurements 24" x 12" x 2.5 "

Roche Court Abstract

Inspired by recent visits to Roche Court which I featured in a recent blog this is a new piece 

'Roche Court Abstract'

For this I have used various paints on pre textured wood board with dry brushing and sanding - the piece is set behind glass in a renovated wood swept frame finished in chalky white paint with grey detail and sanded back in places to create a wonderful distressed framing.

The piece measures 21" x 17.5" x 2.5"

Portland Rock

Welcome to 'Portland Rock' as relief which captures the tones and surfaces of Portland Bill during an autumn walk I took there last year. The surfaces of the relief have a mixture of textured finish and dry brushing and sits on a backboard treated the same way.

Assemblage - Chesil Spindrift

After the storms of 2014 I did not miss the chance to visit Chesil beach and collect a car load of wood debris which was strewn in huge quantities across the beach.

This piece my first assemblage for a while is made up of some of those pieces - some are painted and sanded back and some are left as they were found.
