This was more an exercise in learning how to use charcoal pencils rather than creating a still life!! Having now learnt how messy it can be it has not deterred me from exploring the use of pencils in the future once I have more time to spend on my art and I have cleared up the current mess I made with this one [thank you Ben Nicholson once again!!].
The backboard was undercoated in texture medium then dry brush painted before the shapes were created with medium and hard charcoal pencils.
Set behind glass in a shallow wood box frame finished in white - 29" x 21" x 2"
